Ypsilanti Township, Mich., May 20, 2026: The American Center for Mobility (ACM), a 500-acre campus and test track located at the historic Willow Run site near Ann Arbor, Michigan, and focused on safe, sustainable and secure advances in mobility technology, is pleased to again host CharIN’s global Testival at ACM June 2-4. Paul Krutko, Interim CEO of ACM, said the repeat selection of ACM for the event speaks to its industry appeal as a trusted, multi-faceted testing site.
“As the sole North American location for CharIN’s 2026 Testival, ACM is particularly honored to host this popular industry event,” Krutko said. “It is a testament to the experience ACM provides to those seeking cutting edge collaboration and advancement around electrification and mobility.”
Testival, which was first held at ACM in 2025, presents hands-on opportunities for participants to learn about advancements in e-mobility and interoperability. Given ACM’s optimal test track, attendees will be able to test an assortment of charging outlets, vehicles, and communication controllers while networking with leaders in the mobility space. Erika Meyers, Executive Director at CharIN North America, is eager for the 2026 Testival to return to ACM.
“For CharIN, bringing the Testival to Detroit is both symbolic and strategic,” Meyers noted. “Detroit remains the global heart of automotive innovation, and as the industry accelerates toward electrification, it is critical that EV charging interoperability evolves alongside vehicle development at production scale. ACM provides an ideal environment for this work, combining world-class proving grounds, advanced mobility infrastructure, and the collaborative ecosystem needed to validate real-world charging performance across vehicles, chargers, and software platforms. Together, we are helping ensure that the future of EV charging is reliable, interoperable, and ready for mass adoption.”
Participation in the Testival will include electric vehicles from Ford, GM, Nissan, PACCAR, Rivian and Bosch, electric vehicle supply equipment from Autel, Chargepoint, Eco/G, EVgo, Heliox, Lincoln Electric, Power Electronics, Power Innovations International, and SK Signet, as well as test systems from Keysight, Vector, and TESCO Metering.
Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4 of Testival are only open to testers. Wednesday, June 3 is Public Day and includes tours, topical presentations, and demos from SAE Industry Technologies Consortia and Argonne National Laboratory with Hubject. Tickets and a detailed schedule for the event are available here. Advance registration is required.
