Ypsilanti Township, Mich., May 20, 2026: The American Center for Mobility (ACM), a 500-acre campus and test track located at the historic Willow Run site near Ann Arbor, Michigan, and focused on safe, sustainable and secure advances in mobility technology, is pleased to announce it has received the 2026 Economic Impact Award from Ann Arbor SPARK. The award was presented to ACM board chair and mobility entrepreneur Don Remboski at Ann Arbor SPARK’s sold-out annual meeting on May 19, 2026. Accepting the award with Remboski was former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, who was instrumental in envisioning and establishing ACM, which broke ground in 2016.

In addition to the award, a tribute video was shown at the meeting, highlighting ACM’s history and recent successes. Formed to ensure mobility innovation remained centered in Michigan, ACM was built ahead of its time as a purpose-driven, nonprofit testing and innovation campus. Despite challenges brought on by the pandemic and global supply chain disruptions, the organization has continued to grow, demonstrating how targeted infrastructure investment can translate into sustained industry activity, job creation, and long-term economic impact for the region.
