AMERICAN CENTER FOR MOBILITY ANNOUNCES DELOITTE TO LEAD TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM INTEGRATION CREATING FIRST OF KIND ACM AUTONOMOUS CLOUD
ACM Autonomous Cloud is an integrated PaaS technology stack that bridges CAV simulation and physical testing, featuring a growing constellation of add-on vendors including Siemens Digital Industries Software, dRISK, 3D Mapping Solutions GmbH, and University of Michigan’s Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT).
Ypsilanti, Mich. January 5, 2022 – The American Center for Mobility (ACM) announces a new technology integration relationship with Deloitte Consulting LLP (Deloitte). Together, they are bringing to market the ACM Autonomous Cloud™, creating new efficiencies for companies through a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering. The ACM Autonomous Cloud addresses broad Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) test and validation requirements from simulation into physical testing by providing access to on-demand customized packages of simulation tools used to inform testing, including data management and analytics, mapping, modeling and simulation, augmented reality, and AI model development. With Deloitte supporting the ACM Autonomous Cloud’s integration with constellation partners, greater efficiencies will be realized by both simulation and test engineers by reducing the time needed to build relationships, customize packages, and accomplish tasks in simulation, driving speed to physical test execution. These agile tools integrate with the ACM Smart Mobility Test Center and other road test environments, including public roads.
“From our experience at the ACM Smart Mobility Test Center, we know that test cycles need to move faster between simulation and physical testing,” said Reuben Sarkar, president and CEO of ACM. “ACM and Deloitte collaborated to strategically develop a way to give simulation and test engineers faster access to the integrated CAV tool chain they need without having to forge multiple relationships, we will do it for them. The result is cost and time efficiencies in the loop of simulation to testing to validate new CAV technologies.”
Deloitte will serve as the lead service integration provider for the ACM Autonomous Cloud. ACM is teaming with Deloitte given their shared vision to create a collaborative business model using modern cloud technologies that will evolve with the industry to establish engineering efficiencies such as accelerating time-to-value and market, and reduced costs. Deloitte brings experience and commitment to the Automotive industry leading in the design of CAV technology roadmaps, implementation, and operation of the ACM Autonomous Cloud.
“We’re proud to be the lead service integration provider for the ACM Autonomous Cloud,” said Jeff Hood, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “With our ability to serve the industry with economies of scale, if we can help one company drive efficiencies, we can help them all.”
